The volume of a right circular cone is: v = 1/3 πr2h

where v is the volume, r is radius and h is the height of the cone

v = 24π

h = 2

Substitute v = 24π and h = 2 into the equation above

24π = 1/3 π x r2 x 2

divide both sides by π, the equation becomes

24 = 1/3 x r2 x 2

multiply through by 3, the equation becomes

72 = 2r2

divide both sides by 2

r2 = 36

Take the square root of both sides to remove square

r = √36

r = 6
