where,

n1=incident index of ethyl = 1.36

n2=refracted index of glass = 1.5

θ1 = incident angle of ethyl = 30

θ2 = refracted angle of glass

from eqn(1),

n1sinθ1 = n2sinθ2

sinθ2 = n1sinθ1 / n2

sinθ2 = 1.36sin(30) / 1.5

sinθ2 = 0.45333

θ2 = sin-1(0.45333)
