M = {2, 4, 6, 8}

N = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

The intersection of two sets M and N, denoted by M ∩ N, is the set containing all elements of M that also belong to N (or equivalently, all elements of N that also belong to M).

Therefore, M ∩ N = {2, 4} because 2 and 4 are common to both M and N
